The Emerald Ash Borer Information Network is a website sponsored by Michigan State University and the USDA Forest Service to provide up-to-date information on the emerald ash borer (EAB; Agrilus planipennis). Other contributing organizations include Purdue University, the Ohio State University, the Michigan and Ohio departments of Agriculture; the Michigan, Indiana and Ohio departments of Natural Resources; the USDA Forest Service; the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS); and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The website includes a map of the U.S. states and Canadian provinces were EAB has been found; significant resources to provide information; access to the “EAB University,” a series of webinars on the pest; information for homeowners; regulations about transporting firewood; links to several software tools to assist decision-makers; options for wood use; and much more.
