Urban Forestry for Changing Times:
The Practice of Science, and the Science of Practice
On September 5, 2024, the Urban Forestry for Changing Times: The Practice of Science and the Science of Practice was held at the Angeles National Forest Supervisor’s Office in Arcadia, CA. The event brought together a diverse group of 170+ researchers, practitioners, community members, and representatives from government and nonprofit organizations for a lively day of panel discussions and networking.

City of Los Angeles’ Annual Tree Summit: Resiliency — Foresight is 2020
On May 22, 2020, Miranda Hutten from the LA Urban Center presented as a featured speaker for the City of Los Angeles’ Second Annual Tree Summit, and this event served as the LA Center’s Spring Partners Meeting, focusing on the theme of resiliency. Miranda was able to highlight the LA Urban Center’s initiatives, goals, and role in the Los Angeles region to an audience of over 200 Angelenos, practitioners, and regional stakeholders.
