The Tujunga Watershed drains the western San Gabriel Mountains and the alluvial plains of the eastern San Fernando Valley before reaching its confluence with the Los Angeles River in the highly urbanzied Studio City. This report presents an assessment of the watershed: its character, ecosystem, functioning, and human impacts on the land. Geology, hydrology, water quality, habitat, land use, and human culture are presented. The report closes with recommendations for specific restoration projects and policy implementations.
